LONDON--Elliot Advisors, the activist shareholder in German television group Kabel Deutschland Holding AG (KBDHY), has called for an audit to review the cable company's management during its takeover by Vodafone Group PLC (VOD.LN) in 2013.

Elliott, which owns 13.5% of Kabel Deutschland, said Tuesday that it is proposing an extraordinary shareholders' meeting to vote for an audit "to further examine management's behavior in connection with the takeover by Vodafone."

Elliott said last year that it is suing Kabel Deutschland on concerns over the valuation of Vodafone's multibillion-dollar takeover.

Vodafone wasn't immediately available to comment.
