preparing for a gold rush this week as the brand introduces its new
Georgia Gold fried chicken and
tenders in the two test markets. Available now through September 4, KFC's Georgia Gold is inspired by the regional flavors
of Georgia and South Carolina,
offering an authentic, honey mustard BBQ to challenge conventional
taste buds.

Georgia Gold is available in
Extra Crispy™ ChickenTenders, Chicken Littles® and
Extra Crispy™ Chicken. Different than its more
well-known neighbor, the vinegar-based BBQ associated with
North Carolina, KFC Georgia Gold
is crispy with a balance of sweet and tangy honey mustard BBQ
flavor that stays true to the Georgia original.
For now, only KFC customers in Mobile and Pittsburgh will be able to try the new
Georgia Gold recipe, after which KFC
will evaluate when it will be available nationwide.
"We purposely paired the traditional southern market of Mobile
with the northern mentality of Pittsburgh to determine how guests with
different regional taste buds would take to Georgia Gold," added Hochman. "After numerous

success of its Nashville Hot Chicken, which was available for a
limited time earlier this year. KFC's Nashville Hot Chicken has a

also now back in Pittsburgh only
for a limited time.
