HealthCare Partners Inc. (NYSE: DVA), a leading independent medical
group in America, today announced the appointment of Jim
Rechtin as president of HealthCare Partners' California market effective Feb. 15, 2016. In this role, Rechtin will report
to HealthCare Partners Chief Operating Officer Joe Mello.
Rechtin, who currently serves as senior vice president of
strategy at DaVita HealthCare Partners (a position he will retain),
will succeed Dr. Prati Patel, M.D.,
who plans to retire at the end of 2016. Patel will continue to
serve the company as president emeritus throughout 2016 and will
remain an advisor to the company for the foreseeable future.

healthcare practice at Bain as well as a strategic thinker during
his time at HealthCare Partners," said Mello. "Prati has built a

Rechtin joined DaVita HealthCare Partners after nearly 14 years
in Bain's Chicago office, where he
advised clients as a partner in the healthcare industry practice.
Rechtin began his career as a volunteer with the Peace Corps in the
Democratic Republic of Congo. He
earned his MBA from Harvard University
and a bachelor's degree in political science from DePauw University.
