Intercede (London Stock Exchange AIM: IGP) announces its participation today in the launch of a new public sector identity authentication service called eTHOS.

The eTHOS team, comprising Atos and its partners Verisec, the Post Office, Thales and Intercede, have been awarded the contract for the London Identity Provider Project ("IdP") by the London Public Sector Network ("PSN") for the delivery of a two-factor authentication service. London PSN was established 6 years ago to provide secure, resilient connectivity between the London boroughs and service partners building on the underlying fibre infrastructure put in place by the London Grid for Learning. The service being provided for the London IdP offers a single cost effective solution for public sector organisations that need to provide access to multiple online services across organisational boundaries for large numbers of staff, all with different security levels.

The service will deliver the following benefits to government departments, local authorities and their staff:

-- A reduction in the cost of security

-- A simplified user experience

Today's launch event at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, will demonstrate the end-to-end solution for secure and convenient employee access to local, regional and national services, all through a single token.
