Amiad (AIM: AFS), a leading global producer of water treatment and filtration solutions, announces that, on 26 January 2017, Kibbutz Amiad Agricultural Cooperative Society Ltd. (the "Kibbutz") purchased 435,000 ordinary shares of 0.5 NIS each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 116.5 pence per share. The Kibbutz notified the Company of the details of the transaction on 29 January 2017.

Following the transaction, and a previous acquisition of 109,800 ordinary shares (which were below the disclosure threshold), the Kibbutz has a direct interest in 680,000 ordinary shares in Amiad, representing 3.0% of the Company's issued share capital and voting rights.

In addition, the Kibbutz has an indirect interest in a further 10,298,187 ordinary shares, which are held by A.M.SI. Investments (1997) Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of HaChoshlim Foundation - Agriculture Cooperative Society for Business Ltd., which is an affiliate of the Kibbutz. As a result, through its direct and indirect holdings, the Kibbutz has an interest in 10,978,187 ordinary shares, representing 48.4% of the issued share capital of the Company.
