A.M. Best Withdraws Ratings of Chartis Excess Limited

A.M. Best has withdrawn the financial strength rating of
A (Excellent) and the issuer credit rating of “a” of Chartis
Excess Limited (CEL) (Ireland). All insurance liabilities have
been transferred to other entities within American International
Group, Inc. (AIG) (New York, NY) [NYSE:AIG]. In addition, the
Central Bank of Ireland has accepted the renunciation of CEL’s
Certificate of Authorisation.
