LONDON--Advertising firm WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said Thursday that its
operating company JWT, the marketing communications agency, has
acquired a majority stake of Cairos Usabilidade Eireli (Try), for
an undisclosed sum.
Cairos Usabilidade Eireli or Try, is a user experience agency in
Brazil that designs and develops custom web, mobile, desktop and
touch-enabled applications.
"This investment continues WPP's strategy of investing in fast
growing markets and sectors and its commitment to developing its
strategic networks throughout the dynamic Brazilian market," the
company said.
WPP shares at 0718 GMT traded flat at GBP12.85, valuing the
company at GBP16.93 billion.
