Euro Steady Ahead Of German GfK Consumer Sentiment Index

(RTTNews) - At 7:00 am ET Friday, German GfK consumer sentiment index for December is due. Economists forecast the index to show to a reading of 9.2, compared to 9.4 in November.
Ahead of the data, the euro held steady against the other major currencies.
The euro was worth 1.0585 against the greenback, 0.7037 against the pound, 1.0901 against the franc and 129.76 against the yen as of 6:55 am ET.
