Dollar Strengthens After U.S. Consumer Sentiment Index

(RTTNews) - Following the release of the Reuters/University of Michigan's preliminary consumer sentiment index for October at 9:55 am ET Friday, the greenback climbed against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 106.68 against the yen, 0.9462 against the franc, 1.2762 against the euro and 1.6065 against the pound at 9:57 am ET.
