Securities America, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladenburg
Thalmann Financial Services, Inc. (NYSE MKT:LTS), congratulates
Matt Lawler for being named to Bank Investment Consultant
magazine’s Top 100 Bank Advisors.
As a financial advisor with F&M Wealth Management in South
Sioux City, Neb., Lawler serves clients at four F&M Bank
locations in Nebraska and Iowa.
He began his career in the financial services industry in 1990.
In 1995, he started the wealth management division for F&M
Bank, where he specializes in working with people nearing
retirement and retirees. Lawler said he takes a holistic approach
to gauge his clients’ needs and long-term plans. This allows him to
develop portfolios that take into account clients’ financial goals
and unique personality traits.
Lawler credits his success to the long-lasting relationships and
trust he has developed with his clients over the past decade.
“It was an honor to be recognized by Bank Investment Consultant
magazine as a Top 100 advisor, because the rankings are based on
several key areas,” Lawler said. “I take pride in looking at a
client’s entire financial situation, not just investments.”
Securities America First Vice President of Financial
Institutions Michael Anderson said Lawler is an example of how an
advisor can partner with a bank to create a successful business
relationship for both parties.
“We’re proud Matt has earned this recognition for developing and
growing a successful practice,” Anderson said. “He exemplifies the
traits we look for in an advisor and has proven his business model
can be highly effective in a financial institution.”
Bank Investment Consultant bases the Top 100 Bank Advisor
rankings on six variables and combines them into a weighted
average. They are: (1) 2015 assets under management as of Aug. 31,
2015; (2) trailing 12-month production as of Aug. 31, 2015; (3)
percentage change in AUM from the previous year; (4) percentage
change in trailing-12 production; (5) amount of fee-based business;
and (6) the ratio of production per AUM. Nominees are ranked
according to those six variables; the individual rankings are then
weighted and combined into one overall score. This methodology,
according to Bank Investment Consultant, allows a well-rounded
analysis. “The advisors listed here are not just home-run hitters.
Rather they are all-around players skilled in all aspects of the
game.” Nominees do not pay a fee to be included in the research or
on the final list. The award is not indicative of the advisor’s
future performance. The inclusion of an advisor on the Bank
Investment Consultant Top 100 list should not be construed as an
endorsement of the advisor by Bank Investment Consultant
magazine.
