Accenture (ACN) said Friday it is buying data consultancy
company Clarity Insights, a deal that will grow the company's
applied intelligence business, it said.
Clarity Insights, based in Chicago, was founded about a decade
ago and provides large businesses with machine learning and
artificial intelligence engineering capabilities, Accenture said.
Accenture didn't disclose how much the deal cost.
Accenture said almost 350 people will join its applied
intelligence business from the deal. That sector of Accenture
already has over 20,000 employees.
