EssilorLuxottica SA said Friday that it has appointed David Wielemans new co-chief financial officer of the French-Italian optical company.

Mr. Wielemans replaces Hilary Halper who stepped down earlier this week.

Mr. Wielemans is CFO at Essilor, which merged with Italy's Luxottica to form EssilorLuxottica. He will share the role at the group level with Stefano Grassi.
