Euro-zone industrial production rose more than expected in November
In the Euro-zone, industrial production rose 2.3% on a MoM basis in November, compared to revised fall of 1.30% in the previous month. Markets were expecting industrial production to record a rise of 0.50%
US MBA mortgage applications rose in the week ended 7 January 2022
In the US, mortgage applications advanced 1.40% in the week ended 7 January 2022, compared to a drop of 5.60% in the prior week.
US CPI rose as expected in December
In the US, the CPI climbed 7.00% on a YoY basis December, at par with market expectations and compared to an advance of 6.80% in the prior month.
US monthly budget deficit narrowed in December
In the US, monthly budget deficit narrowed to $21.00 billion in December, compared to a deficit of $191.00 billion in the prior month.
