SAIC Awarded $433 Million Task Order By U.S. General Services
Administration
MCLEAN, Va., Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science
Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today
announced it has been awarded a prime contract by the U.S. General
Services Administration (GSA) to provide enterprise information
technology (IT) support to the U.S. Central Command's (USCENTCOM)
Directorate of Command, Control, Communications and Computers. The
cost-plus award-fee (CPAF) task order has a one-year base period of
performance, four one-year options, and a total contract value of
$433 million, if all options are
exercised. Work will be performed primarily in Tampa, Fla. The task order was awarded under
the GSA Alliant Government-wide Acquisition Contract by the Federal
Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM).
USCENTCOM promotes cooperation among nations, responds to
crises, deters or defeats state and non-state aggression, and
supports development and reconstruction to establish the conditions
for regional security, stability and prosperity. Under the task
order, SAIC will provide IT services, including command, control,
communications, and computer (C4) systems support, theater network
operations, engineering, cybersecurity, programs and architectures,
and resource management.
