Reliance Brands In Pact To Launch Quiksilver Products In South Asia

Reliance Brands Ltd. said Tuesday it has signed an exclusive
license agreement with outdoor sports outfitter Quiksilver Inc.
(ZQK) to launch the U.S. company's brands in India, Sri Lanka,
Nepal and Bangladesh.
The first store under the pact will come up in India later this
year, Reliance Brands said in a statement.
Reliance Brands plans to open six stores in 2011 under this
tie-up, a spokeswoman for Reliance Brands told Dow Jones
Newswires.
Quiksilver sells apparel, footwear, accessories, snowboards and
related products under the Quiksilver, Roxy, DC, Lib Tech and Hawk
brands.
Reliance Brands, part of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries
Ltd. (500325.BY), handles international and local brands in the
premium and luxury segment across apparel, footwear and lifestyle
businesses.
