Builder introduces new Sea Cliff neighborhood with
sophisticated home designs and leading-edge water conservation
systems

new Sea Cliff community in San Diego, a luxurious collection of
spacious single-family residences, and the first in the United
States where every home will include its own on-site water
recycling system to treat and reuse their own grey water.
In addition to their prime location and aesthetic appeal, the
pioneering KB home designs at Sea Cliff will boast state-of-the-art
water-conserving technologies, offering homebuyers the first
opportunity to own a WaterSense® labeled home with advanced
plumbing, drought-tolerant landscaping, smart irrigation and the
innovative Nexus eWater grey water recycling system, all included
as standard features.
With all of these water-efficient elements, each new home built
at Sea Cliff is estimated to conserve up to 100,000 gallons of
water annually for a household of four or more when compared to a
typical resale home and landscaping, a reduction of approximately
70%. This up to 100,000 gallons savings is comprised of:
- Indoors: Up to 33,000 gallons can be
saved by using WaterSense labeled fixtures, ENERGY STAR® certified
appliances, and hot water recirculation pumps.
- Outdoors: Up to 67,000 gallons can be
saved by following WaterSense design guidelines for landscaping and
irrigation systems, as well as by using treated and recycled grey
water for landscape watering needs.
Collectively, the 52 KB homes planned at Sea Cliff are projected
to save 5,200,000 gallons of water in aggregate each year, the
equivalent of 520 residential swimming pools, or more than 150
million gallons over the next 30 years.
Located in idyllic Rancho Peñasquitos, KB Home’s Sea Cliff
