awarded Ps. 1,089 million EPC contract
for
Deep Water Technology Center in Veracruz
Mexico City November 10th
2014- Empresas ICA, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV and NYSE: ICA) announced that it was awarded the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction
(EPC) contract for a new Deep Water Technology Center for the Mexican Petroleum Institute – IMP in Boca del Rio, Veracruz.
The contract was awarded through an international bidding process.
The Ps. 1,089 million fixed-term
contract includes engineering, land preparation and urbanization works, procurement and construction of five laboratories and other
buildings, auxiliary services, a high-pressure water circuit, installation of equipment, project management, and training. The
Deep Water Technology Center will include 24,600 m2 of construction on a 20.9-hectare site. The contract includes both fixed and
unit price components. The work is scheduled to be completed in November 2015.
