Investors, Inc. (NYSE: FII), one of the nation's largest investment
managers, today announced Stephen Van
Meter's appointment as chief compliance officer of Federated
effective July 30, 2015. Van Meter has also been appointed chief
compliance officer of the Federated family of funds. Van Meter oversees the policies and procedures
that are designed to assure compliance with legal and regulatory
requirements throughout Federated and the funds. He replaces
Brian Bouda, who retires
July 29.

Van Meter joined Federated's
compliance department in 2011, coming directly from an eight-year
stretch at the SEC, where he served as senior counsel in the
Division of Investment Management, Office of Chief Counsel, since
2007. Prior to that, he was senior counsel in the Division of
Enforcement. Additional experience includes a year as law clerk,
U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and two years as an attorney
with Reed Smith LLP. Van Meter
earned his bachelor's degree at Loyola
University Maryland and his juris doctorate at University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
