VIENNA--Igor Sechin, the chief executive of Russia's state oil
giant OAO Rosneft, is meeting top officials from big oil producers
Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Mexico about oil-policy coordination, a
company official said Tuesday.
Members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries
are meeting here on Thursday to discuss the group's policy amid
recently falling oil prices. The meeting between Russia, Venezuela,
Saudi Arabia and Mexico comes as non-OPEC members Russia and Mexico
face budget pressure from decreasing crude prices.
Russia has been especially affected by the slump, coming as it
does amid Western economic sanctions against Moscow.
