U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital
imaging solutions, is proud to announce the release of the
imageFORMULA ScanFront 400 networked document scanner.
Offering a user-friendly touchscreen interface and intuitive
features to improve ease-of-use, the imageFORMULA ScanFront 400
networked document scanner provides users with the ability to
capture, convert and share documents to improve collaboration and
productivity in networked environments. This device is also the

rating, the definitive global environmental rating system for

in September at the ARMA 2016 conference in San Antonio, Texas, the ScanFront 400 device
lends itself for application across a variety of industries and
vertical markets, including finance, legal services, retail,
manufacturing, and healthcare, to allow users to better collaborate
and share information both locally and remotely.
"Collaboration and sharing of information is an integral part of
many operations across a variety of different business settings,"
said Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general
manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. "Businesses who rely on
information distribution across a network expect to do so in a
secure and easy manner. Canon's latest networked document scanner,
the imageFORMULA ScanFront 400, is not only environmentally
friendlier than products that do not meet EPEAT's criteria, but
also helps users handle their paper-based information more
efficiently and meet expectations to better serve their business
needs."
User Friendly Scanning
The ScanFront 400 scanner provides users with a high-definition
10.1 inch color touchscreen that can be used to preview digitized
documents during the scanning process to help ensure the
information is captured correctly. Through the touchscreen
interface, users can easily choose from a variety of scan
destinations to help distribute the information to various
locations. To better streamline information distribution, the
ScanFront 400 device can display pre-configured job buttons for
frequently used scan operations, helping cut down on valuable time
spent having to adjust settings for different jobs. Users can also
create address books to pre-register scan destinations of various
types, or simply connect to an existing LDAP directory service.
Share Information Efficiently

imageFORMULA ScanFront 400 device can scan both sides of a document
in a single pass at up to 45 pages per minute.1 The
device is also is capable of processing up to 6,000 documents per
day, and features an automatic document feeder that fits up to 60
sheets, ideal for batch scanning tasks. To help better meet the
demands of users, the ScanFront 400 device has the capability to
handle a variety of document types of different sizes and
consistencies, including receipts, driver licenses, photographs,
invoices, contracts, and even passports (using an optional carrier
sheet). Seeking to help improve collaboration and efficiency, users
can send scanned documents to email, a shared folder, fax, USB
drive, FTP server or printer, individually or simultaneously.
Environmentally Friendlier
In addition to being named the first scanner in its product
category to achieve EPEAT Gold rating, the ScanFront 400 device is
also ENERGY STAR® certified, meeting the strict energy efficiency
requirements of the program, and complies with both the EU
Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and the Registration,
Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)
directive, for the reduction of hazardous substances and their
potential impacts on the environment.
Secure and Manageable Document Capture
The ScanFront Administrator tool, included with the device,
allows IT managers and professions to conveniently manage up to
1,000 ScanFront devices remotely through centralized management
capabilities. IT managers can view status, update device
firmware, back-up and restore configurations, and more to help
ensure that all ScanFront devices in the scanner fleet are
configured uniformly and functioning properly. The ScanFront 400
device features log-in device access and also supports Microsoft
Active Directory and LDAP over SSL (LDAPS) to help provide secure
user authentication.
