Longer Paper Rolls and Eco-Conscious Option
Transform the Way Technical Professionals Work
Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today
announced the launch of four new large format media options to the
imagePROGRAF media portfolio. For the first time, Canon will offer
20lb bond, 20lb recycled uncoated bond, 24 pound bond and 24 pound
premium coated bond paper in both 150-foot rolls and 300-foot
rolls. These papers are also being offered as 30 inch rolls. With
the option of a longer roll, offer cost-effective media options
without compromising the quality that businesses have come to
expect from Canon.
Best suited for technical markets such as architecture,
engineering, construction computer-aided design (CAD) and
geographic information systems (GIS) markets, all four paper
options are compatible with Canon’s new imagePROGRAF iPF850, iPF840
and iPF830 large format inkjet printers, providing optimal media
for the full-color renderings, technical drawings and maps created
by these high-volume inkjet printers.
“In our high-demand business world, it’s imperative for
companies to maximize their return on investment while still
producing the high-quality materials their customers expect,” said
Junichi Yoshitake, senior vice president and general manager,
Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “With a larger
roll size to improve productivity and help reduce cost per print
and environmentally friendly paper selections, these new media
selections provide professionals with affordable options to meet
their unique business needs.”
Improved Workflow
Building upon its previous media offerings, Canon now offers
300-foot rolls of large format media to help companies save time
and maximize the way they work. Twice as long as previously offered
rolls, this new size offers great potential to improve workflows by
increasing run time and allowing users to complete more tasks
without having to stop and reload paper. With two, 42 inches by
300-foot rolls, a user is now able to produce over 2,000 sq. ft. of
uninterrupted printing.
Cost-Efficiency
Priced economically, the media offer cost-saving potential for
businesses, with the larger rolls allowing users to produce more
documents for a lower cost-per-print. Cost-saving possibilities are
further amplified when media is combined with the
productivity-enhancing features of the iPF850 and iPF840 printers,
such as dual-roll printing, auto-roll switching, “Economy” print
modes and cost-per-print tracking.
Eco-Conscious Alternative
Supporting Canon U.S.A.’s corporate philosophy of Kyosei, the
Company’s pledge to work to harmonize environmental commitment and
economic interests in all our business activities, users also have
the option of purchasing recycled media. The addition of 20lb
recycled uncoated bond paper to the imagePROGRAF portfolio provides
users with a product that offers less environmental burden and
demonstrates the Company’s commitment to pursuing the maximization
of resource efficiency and contribute to the creation of a society
that practices sustainable development.
