Airbus Group SE on Monday reported it booked 121 additional
jetliner orders in September, bringing its net bookings for the
first nine months to 815 planes.
Order intake last month included a deal for 110 A321neo
jetliners from east European budget airline Wizz Air Holdings PLC
and four additional narrowbody commitments from Croatia Airlines.
The Toulouse-based planemaker also secured orders for six A330
widebody jets, one A350-900 long-range plane.
The European manufacturer also said it suffered 14 single-aisle
order cancellations last month, bringing its total so far this year
to 60 jetliner orders annulled.
Airbus leads Boeing in order bookings so far this year. Its
Chicago-based rival last week said it had secured net orders for
449 planes through September 29.
Boeing, the world's largest jetliner maker, is ahead of Airbus
on deliveries, though. The U.S. planemaker shipped 503 planes in
the first eight months. Airbus, in its monthly update on business,
said it had delivered 446 planes in the first nine months after
shipping 49 units in September.
