LONDON-- Advertising giant WPP PLC (WPP.LN) Thursday said it is investing in Les Nouvelles Editions Indépendantes SAS, a media company with investments in Le Monde, the French edition of The Huffington Post and other titles.

WPP, which didn't say how much it is investing, said it is placing greater emphasis on Western continental Europe following the U.K. vote to leave the E.U.

Shares at 1006 GMT, up 26 pence, or 1.4%, at 1,836 pence valuing the company at GBP23.59 billion.
