Vocera Communications, Inc. today announced it exceeded second quarter
2010 sales expectations, driven by strong demand from new and existing
healthcare customers. The company also appointed Christopher Buckley as
vice president of marketing. Mr. Buckley joins Vocera at a time in which
the company is experiencing accelerated growth and is investing in more
than 20 new customer-facing positions.
In the second quarter, the privately held company added 20 new
customers, including 18 hospitals, and experienced strong organic growth
with existing customers. The company also hired 18 new employees in the
quarter and plans to make approximately 30 additional hires in the third
quarter, including 20 positions working directly with customers.
“Vocera’s revenues this past quarter grew 47 percent year-over-year,”
said Bob Zollars, chairman and chief executive officer of Vocera.
“Delivering solutions that meet our customers' most pressing needs and
restore the human connection to healthcare is fueling this success.”

than 30 years of sales, product and marketing management leadership and
strong knowledge of technology solutions serving customers in the acute
care market place.
“Vocera is a highly appealing company because of its unique
communications solutions for clinical care workers, strong brand
recognition and continued high growth trajectory,” said Mr. Buckley. “In
my new role, I look forward to developing strategic programs and
partnerships to further expand our leadership position.”
