Teleflex to Present at the 10th Scientific and Annual Meeting of European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP)
September 22 2015 - 7:00AM
Business Wire
Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of
medical devices for critical care, urology and surgery, has
announced that it will showcase its MiniLap® Percutaneous Surgical
System, a range of 2.3 mm instruments percutaneously inserted,
during the Scientific and Annual Meeting of European Society of
Coloproctology (ESCP) to be held in Dublin, Ireland on September
23-25, 2015.
During the event, Teleflex will present its MiniLap®
Percutaneous Surgical System as well as a diversified range of its
Weck® Laparoscopic Instruments.
MiniLap® Instruments, with shaft diameters as slim as 2.3 mm,
can be percutaneously inserted using an integrated needle tip. The
grasper jaws or probe can then be deployed to grasp or coagulate
tissue. The patented deployment design allows grasper jaws to open
up to 12.5 mm to grasp difficult structures, like distended gall
bladders. Procedures using the MiniLap® Instruments require fewer
trocars and cause less trauma to the patient than traditional
laparoscopic procedures.
Teleflex offers minimally invasive surgeons a full line of Weck®
Access Devices, providing confidence, clarity and control during
general and advanced laparoscopic procedures. The asymmetrically
dilating Weck Vista® Optical Trocar features excellent light
transmission through its transparent tip that enables clear
visualization of tissue layers during entry. It incorporates ridges
on the cannula providing excellent port stability particularly
throughout extended procedures.
Teleflex’s newest addition – the Weck® EFx Shield® Fascial
Closure System – is the only shielded port closure device,
providing enhanced sharps protection for safe, uniform, and
consistent fascial closure.
