Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical technologies for critical care and surgery, will showcase its broad portfolio of products for Respiratory Care at the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Congress 2015, November 7-10, in Tampa, FL. The portfolio includes products for High Flow Nasal Cannula Therapy and Mechanical Ventilation, as well as solutions for Arterial Access.

As a corporate partner of the AARC, Teleflex is proud to invite AARC Congress attendees to stop by Teleflex booth #619 to Make Their Mark in support of the American Respiratory Care Foundation (ARCF). Teleflex will be donating up to $20,000 to the ARCF, further demonstrating our commitment to connecting clinicians with education in a way that helps improve patient outcomes and advances respiratory care throughout the world.

At the meeting, Teleflex will be introducing the Hudson RCI® Comfort Flo® Plus High Flow Nasal Cannula. Heated High Flow Nasal Cannula Therapy (HFNCT) has been shown to improve survival rates, compared to standard oxygen masks or non-invasive ventilation, among patients with Acute Hypoxemic Respiratory Failure.1 Inspired by the physicians and clinicians who help develop our products, the Comfort Flo® Plus Cannula features silicone nares, an optional chin strap to encourage closed mouth treatments, which may increase positive end pressure (PEP)2, and a bifurcated head strap for a secure fit during patient movement.

“Teleflex is committed to providing progressive technologies that meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said James Ferguson, President of the Teleflex Respiratory Division. “We will use our time at the AARC Congress to highlight our dedication to connecting clinicians with technology in a way that improves clinical practice and advances patient outcomes.”

Teleflex will showcase the Hudson RCI® Neptune® Heated Humidifier with ConchaSmart® Technology, which features a low water notification and Adjustable and Auto Settings modes. Combined with the convenient ConchaSmart® Column and prefilled sterile water reservoir system, the Neptune® Heated Humidifier provides a simple, smart and practical solution, improving clinician workflow.

Teleflex will be highlighting the Arrow® Arterial Catheter for placement by respiratory therapists. The Arrow® Brand offers one of the most comprehensive lines of arterial catheters and CDC compliant kits. In addition, Teleflex provided a grant to the AARC for a preconference educational session to be held on Friday, November 6th, titled “Vascular Access: Developing an Arterial Catheter Insertion Program.” The session will focus on adding arterial catheter insertion to a respiratory team’s skill set while covering topics of healthcare reform, ultrasound guided insertion, training, data collection and more.
