RMB Capital (“RMB”), an independent financial services firm with more than $6.7 billion in assets under management, announced that it has been named to the 2017 edition of the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers.

This is the fourth annual FT 300 list, produced independently by the Financial Times in collaboration with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of the FT that provides business intelligence on the investment management industry.

Registered investment advisory firms applied for consideration, having met a minimum set of criteria. Applicants were then graded on six factors: assets under management (AUM), AUM growth rate, years in existence, advanced industry credentials of the firm’s advisers, online accessibility, and compliance records. There are no fees or other considerations required of firms that apply for the FT 300.

“We appreciate being recognized by a prestigious publication like the Financial Times, as it stems from the investments we make in our employees and our operational infrastructure – including risk management and technology,” said Richard M. Burridge, RMB’s founding partner, CEO and chief investment officer. “These investments support our commitment to providing wealth management clients with a highly personalized experience, which we believe is instrumental to client retention and organic growth.”

The final FT 300 represents an impressive cohort of elite registered investment advisory firms, as the “average” practice in this year’s list has been in existence for 24 years and manages $2.7 billion in assets. RMB was founded in 2005.

RMB counsels its wealth management clients with an investment philosophy centered on several core ideas: taking a long-term view, conducting fundamental analysis, being opportunistic yet disciplined, and avoiding unnecessary risk.
