LOS ANGELES, CA, Feb. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ - The Student
Recognition Award being presented at the upcoming 52nd Annual
Cinema Audio Society Awards will be sponsored by Michael Minkler and Zack
Teperman!
Minkler, a three-time Academy Award winning sound editor and CEO
of Moving Pictures Media Group, and Teperman, the President of
Hollywood-based public relations
firm ZTPR, are excited to help contribute a monetary donation to
the winning student that will be recognized at the February 20th 2016 award ceremony in Los Angeles.
The CAS Student Recognition Award is open to any student
enrolled and in good standing in a Bachelor's or Master's degree
program at an accredited college or university. Students may be
pursuing any major (indeed, many current CAS members majored in
music, psychology, English, engineering and other fields); but
should have a demonstrated interest and some experience in
production and/or post-production sound for film and
television.
This year's finalists and nominees include: Joseph Elfanbaum, Lauren
Johnson, Gerrald Vazquez,
Matt Yocum, and Joanna Zachariasz.
CAS President Mark Ulano states,
"These talented students clearly represent the next wave of talent
in our art form - the quality of their submissions has been stellar
and we congratulate and welcome them to our sound family. I
sincerely thank Michael and Zack for their generous contribution
towards helping these students and their further education."
