SAN FRANCISCO, May 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Boutique educational game developer ACE EdVenture Studio will see its first creation ChemCaper - Petticles in Peril, a first-of-its-kind Chemistry role playing game (RPG), featured at Google I/O 2015.

The annual Google I/O is arguably the most important event for app developers looking to work with life-changing technologies, and will be held from 28-29 May at the Moscone Center, San Francisco. The conference will see over 5,000 developers in attendance to showcase the latest in digital technology and learn via hands-on workshops.

ChemCaper, an initiative conceptualized and driven by the teachers from Sri Emas International School, is meant for students aged 10 to 14 before they are formally introduced to Chemistry as a subject.

ChemCaper was chosen as a Google I/O feature because its combination of educational and entertainment value is set to reinvent education, bringing the excitement of learning Year 7 Chemistry to students. Concepts such as covalent, ionic and metallic bonds are encountered and learned through gameplay. The Active Time Battle System will see kids battling various foes with the help of their faithful Petticles, which are creatures formed via chemical bonding. Learning comes full circle with each Petticle demonstrating unique traits representing real life particles.

Be one of the first to play ChemCaper on Android TV!

Additionally, students will learn how to separate compounds, refine fluids, and sieve through precious metals in various mini games which will introduce students to the kinds of Chemistry apparatus used in laboratories.

"After working on ChemCaper for over two years, it's not easy to put into words how excited we are with Google choosing to feature us!" Founder and Group CEO of ACE EdVenture, Anne Tham said.

Live demos of ChemCaper will be held at both the Arcade Lounge (2nd floor) and the Game Demo Area (3rd Floor). ChemCaper will be available via Android TV, a smart TV platform providing an interactive television experience combining gaming and media streaming.

"Why Android? Why Android TV? We saw how quickly Android is growing and this makes it the best platform to reach out to millions, bringing to them an Education for the 21st Century!" Anton Budiono, ChemCaper's CPO and Producer said. Sundar Pichai, Google's Senior Vice President, had remarked that over a billion Android devices were activated in 2014, making Android the most popular mobile platform.

ChemCaper - Petticles in Peril will be reinventing education via the Google Play Store and other major mobile platforms in September 2015, and will be followed by games covering Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Additional Mathematics.
