Will provide free mobile payments devices to businesses impacted by Hurricane Irma

Program expands on First Data’s relief efforts following Hurricane Harvey

First Data (NYSE: FDC), a global leader in commerce-enabling technology, today announced the expansion of its hurricane relief efforts to include businesses impacted by the effects of Hurricane Irma’s landfall. The expanded program, which builds on First Data’s recent announcement following Hurricane Harvey, provides free Clover® Go mobile credit and debit card readers to eligible business owners impacted by Hurricane Irma. First Data will also provide free device installation and discounted pricing for these businesses as they re-open their doors in the aftermath of the storms.

“Our clients’ livelihood depends on being able to serve their customers, especially in times of need, and First Data will do whatever we can to support these businesses as they help others recover from the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma,” said Frank Bisignano, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at First Data. “We have all seen the aftermath of these historic storms and we believe it is our duty to try to help our clients, their customers, and local communities recover and rebuild.”

Clover Go is a mobile card reader that plugs into an iOS or Android tablet or smartphone and works with a Wi-Fi or cellular connection, allowing business owners to accept secure payments anywhere, whether that is a temporary shop or their permanent location. Because Clover Go is wireless and rechargeable, it does not require an outlet to operate.

For businesses that are not currently clients of First Data, the company is offering free Clover Go devices with no setup fees and no minimum monthly fee for the next six months. Current First Data clients whose payment hardware was destroyed in the storm can receive new Clover Go devices, at no charge.

In order to be eligible for the offer, businesses must be located in a “Designated Area” identified by FEMA for “Individual Assistance.” Business owners who are interested in the offer can call First Data’s toll-free customer service hotline at 1-855-401-8152, or by visiting these two websites:
