The euro weakened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Thursday.

The euro fell to 1.1025 against the U.S. dollar for the first time September 2003. At yesterday's close, the euro was trading at 1.1075 against the greenback.

Against the Canadian dollar, the euro slipped to 1.3717 for the first time since September 2013. The pair was trading at 1.3763 at yesterday's close.

Against the Australian dollar and the yen, the euro fell to more than a 5-week low of 1.4112 and nearly a 5-week low of 132.14 from yesterday's closing quotes of 1.4168 and 132.52, respectively.

The euro edged down to 0.7239 against the pound and 1.0651 against the Swiss franc, from yesterday's closing quotes of 0.7256 and 1.0667, respectively.

If the euro extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 1.09 against the greenback, 1.32 against the loonie, 1.39 against the aussie, 130.09 against the yen, 0.69 against the pound and 0.96 against the Swiss franc.
