AngloGold Says Randgold has Terminates Ghanian Mine Joint Venture

LONDON--AngloGold Ashanti Ltd. (ANG.JO) said Monday that
Randgold Resources Ltd. (RRS.LN) has decided to terminate its joint
venture agreement to develop AngloGold's Obuasi mine in Ghana.
The South African mining company said it will continue to
undertake limited operations at Obuasi mine at reduced cost,
compared to 2015, following the termination.
Separately, Randgold Resources said the proposed Obuasi
investment doesn't satisfy its internal investment criteria.
