Proposed Secondary Placing

Alternative Networks plc ("Alternative Networks" or the "Company") announces that James Murray and Edward Spurrier, both directors of the Company intend today to sell up to 1,344,670 ordinary shares of 0.125p in the Company (the "Placing Shares" and the "Placing"), representing approximately 2.7 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company at a price of 480p per Placing Share.

The completion of the Placing and the resulting directors shareholdings will be announced as soon as practicable today.
