Alstom Transport, Partners Win $337 Million Railway Contract in Vietnam -- State Media

HANOI--A consortium of Alstom Transport SA, Colas Rail SA and
Thales Communications & Security SAS has won a contract to
supply and install equipment for a metro rail line in Hanoi, state
media reported Tuesday.
Under the contract worth 7.6 trillion dong ($337 million), the
consortium will supply and install equipment for the 12.5-kilometer
line during a 47-month period, reported Lao Dong newspaper.
The line consists of a 8.5-kilometer elevated section and a
four-kilometer underground section, with 12 stations, the report
said. The project will be funded by a loan from the French
government, according to the report.
