HANOI--A consortium of Alstom Transport SA, Colas Rail SA and Thales Communications & Security SAS has won a contract to supply and install equipment for a metro rail line in Hanoi, state media reported Tuesday.

Under the contract worth 7.6 trillion dong ($337 million), the consortium will supply and install equipment for the 12.5-kilometer line during a 47-month period, reported Lao Dong newspaper.

The line consists of a 8.5-kilometer elevated section and a four-kilometer underground section, with 12 stations, the report said. The project will be funded by a loan from the French government, according to the report.
