LONDON--Advertising company WPP PLC (WPP.LN) said Wednesday that it has established a partnership with internet services company Tencent to create a Chinese social marketing lab.

Under a memorandum of understanding, the companies will create through knowledge sharing and collaboration social ideas and campaigns for Tencent's QQ and Weixin/WeChat platforms.

Shares at 0906 GMT trading 1.5% higher at 1,544 pence.
