Washington, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for the
National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America
(PRSA-NCC).
For more than 25 years, Mathias has been a leader in the public
relations industry, specializing in issues advocacy, reputation
management, and crisis communications. Previously, Robert
served under the U.S. Energy Secretary and subsequently as Deputy
Assistant Secretary at the Department of Energy. He currently
serves on the Board of Trustees of The Yellowstone Park Foundation,
a private philanthropy dedicated to the protection and preservation
of Yellowstone National Park. He
is also a member of the Board of Directors for the LaGrant
Foundation, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to
increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of
advertising, marketing and public relations. He also served as
Chairman of the Board for the Lab School in Washington, DC for five years.

The PRSA-NCC Hall of Fame represents an elite group of
communications experts from around the Washington, DC region, from agency heads,
White House and Capitol Hill press secretaries, Pentagon
spokespersons, business leaders, government officials,
international experts, social activists, labor leaders, professors
and educators.
Debra Silimeo of Hager Sharp and
Don McLearn, formerly of the U.S.
Food and Drug Administration, were also inducted into the Hall of
Fame last night.

the National Press Club last night. "If I were to start my career
all over again, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to go into public
relations. In fact, I would be more excited than ever."
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held during the annual
Thoth Awards on Wednesday evening at the National Press Club.
Ogilvy took home three awards for work with the National Institute
of Drug Abuse, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Dating Matters program, and the Recreational Boating and Fishing
Foundation.
