Joining City of Dreams’ French chef-d’oeuvre
The Tasting Room (two stars), Cantonese culinary
masterpiece Jade Dragon (two stars), and sushi
restaurant Shinji by Kanesaka (one star), Altira
Macau and Studio City’s signature Cantonese restaurants,
Ying and Pearl Dragon,
respectively, also celebrated today their brand new inclusions to
the ranks of one-Michelin-starred establishments. Impressively,
MCE’s fine dining restaurants now boast a total of seven
prestigious Michelin stars.
The achievement signifies that both
international visitors and locals can now enjoy Michelin-starred
gastronomies in all of the three Macau properties operated by Melco
Crown Entertainment, and that the Company has further extended the
lead over its peers in terms of world class and award-winning
culinary offerings across Cotai and Taipa.
“It’s an absolute joy and honor to see Melco
Crown Entertainment’s culinary teams receive more recognition from
the internationally-acclaimed Michelin Guide,” said Mr.
Kristoffer Luczak, Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage,
Melco Crown Entertainment Limited.
“The fact that Pearl Dragon and Ying are both
contributing to our Michelin star tally, which leads to MCE
becoming the Company that offers the most Michelin-starred dining
venues in all of Macau, once again showcases MCE’s long-held
tradition of excellence and dedication to continuously elevate its
service quality. We aim not only to delight our guests, but to help
transform Macau into an exciting gastronomic destination in the
region, which would further enhance Macau’s development into a
World Center of Tourism and Leisure,” he added.
In addition to the five starred restaurants,
four other dining outlets owned by Melco Crown Entertainment,
namely Shanghai Magic and Bi Ying
at Studio City, and Aurora and
Tenmasa at Altira Macau, have each been
recommended in the 2017 Guide for their distinctive offerings of
modern Shanghainese, Northern and Southern Chinese, Italian, and
Japanese cuisines that few others can match in
Macau.
To celebrate the launch of the 2017 Guide,
Michelin Hong Kong Macau will for the first time host a
star-studded gala dinner in partnership with Robert Parker Wine
Advocate at Studio City, Asia’s Entertainment Capital, on November
11. Featuring seven celebrity chefs from across the globe, paired
with Hollywood costume designer Manuel Albarran’s visual spectacle
themed on SENSES, and together with renowned Hong Kong
actor/television chef Nicholas Tse as a special Michelin guest,
this sensorial gourmet journey is a once-in-a-lifetime experience
that no fine food and wine aficionados will want to miss. For
