SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.,
Feb. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/
-- First Bank, a subsidiary of First Bancorp (NASDAQ: FBNC),
was recognized with three American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) this
February for its series of business spotlight videos that feature
farming clients in North
Carolina.
The awards, presented by the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill chapter of the American
Advertising Federation (AAF), were as follows:
- First Bank: Hagler Farms - GOLD ADDY® for "Single
Spot"
- First Bank: Farms Campaign (3 videos) - GOLD ADDY® for
"Campaign"
- First Bank: Pine Knot Farms - MOSAIC AWARD FOR DIVERSITY
Out of more than 300 entries, only two were given the Mosaic
Award. All three of the farming videos were produced in partnership
with the Raleigh-based creative
agency Greenroom Communications. "These videos showcase some of the
amazing stories we see across our bank every day," says
Hunter Young, Senior Vice President
of Marketing at First Bank. "It is an honor to serve as the
financial partner for hardworking people like the Hagler, Hughes,
and White families. They truly demonstrate what it means to be
adaptive and modern in a challenging era for family
businesses."

The American Advertising Awards—one of the advertising
industry's largest and most representative competition—attracts
more than 40,000 entries each year. Conducted annually by the
American Advertising Federation (AAF), the local ad club phase is
the first of a three-tier, national competition. At the second
tier, local GOLD ADDY® winners compete against winners from other
clubs in one of 15 district competitions (results are due in late
March) around North Carolina.
District ADDY winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the
national stage of the American Advertising Awards.
