Newest ranking marks the third time CTU has
made the “Best for Vets” list
Colorado Technical University (CTU) has been listed in the
Military Times “Best for Vets” 2015 Business Schools rankings
issue. This prestigious list identifies schools that provide
exceptional curricula and programming for our country’s
veterans.
Military Times considers many factors when determining whether
an institution is military-friendly, including the quality of the
graduate business program and curriculum; how credits are applied
and transferred from other institutions; scholarship funds
specifically allocated for service members; and dedicated military
admissions advisors. When evaluated according to these priorities,
CTU is proud to:
- Offer specially-trained military
education benefits specialists, admissions advisors, and career
coaches to assist with the unique needs of the military
- Encourage every active duty, reserve,
and veteran student to request their military transcripts for a
thorough and early transfer credit evaluation
- Be recognized by the prestigious U.S.
News and World Report for Best Online Bachelor’s Degree
Programs for 2015
- Offer the Wounded Warrior Scholarship
which annually provides full tuition coverage for a degree
program to fifty eligible wounded service members, veterans, their
spouses or their caregivers
- Be regionally accredited by The
Higher Learning Commission and offer degree programs accredited by
the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs
(ACBSP)
“CTU’s business programs are some of the most popular among our
military students and it makes us very proud to be included in this
list as an excellent educational provider,” said Dr. Gail Whitaker,
university dean of business and graduate studies. “We know how hard
our service members work to achieve their goals and are committed
to providing the high quality education they need to transition to
successful civilian careers.”
CTU offers business and management degree programs at the
associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level; which are
informed by current and expected business trends. CTU continuously
evaluates the business curricula based on input from an
accomplished advisory board of business leaders, many of whom are
actively engaged in corporate management and starting their own
companies. CTU is committed to regularly updating the course
content to reflect industry-relevant trends and practices driving
successful global business environments. The continuous refinement
of CTU’s degree programs has led to new programs at the master’s
and doctoral levels, with a variety of concentrations including
healthcare management, project management and global
leadership.
Continuing a Tradition at CTU
Military Times is comprised of Army Times, Navy
Times, Air Force Times, Marine Corps Times and their
selection for the “Best for Vets” listing is just one of the many
acknowledgements CTU has received for supporting military students.
For six consecutive years, CTU has been recognized as a top
military-friendly school by Victory Media Inc. – the publishers of
G.I. Jobs magazine, Military Spouse magazine and Vetrepreneur
magazine.
Additionally, the university ranked among the top 20 Military
Times “Best of Vets” Online and Traditional Colleges in 2013 and
2014; and Military Advanced Education (MAE) recognized CTU
as one of the top universities serving the educational needs
of the Armed Forces in 2008-2015.
“We want to ensure that our veterans receive a solid education
that builds upon the strong skill set they already gained from
their military experience,” said Andrew H. Hurst, university
president of CTU. “Our long standing history of supporting the
military community has helped us to achieve this honor, and we feel
privileged that Military Times has recognized us again.”
