Tangibility is in terms of finance is an asset that physically exists, for accounting purposes, rather than 'intangible assets' that refer to non-physical qualities such as 'goodwill'. 'Tangible' assets, such as buildings, land, stocks, and gold, are the only type of asset that can be used as collateral to secure loans.
