FWIW, this stock is the only one I've ever sold based not on WHAT was said in an earnings conference call, but based on HOW IT WAS SAID

In the Q&A, an investor asked a question and the response from management was dripping with arrogance and dismissive of the question

Before I could even check to see which jackass had said it, I had decided to sell my position

Still ended with a 10% gain having held only a very short time (2-3 months in early 2021)

Every now and then, the curtain drops for just a second and you get to see a glimpse of an executive publicly in the same way that clients and employees eventually get to see through the facade they try to always present

One strike, you're out MACE

Why MACE crashed to $0.228 from the recent high $0.74?

It seems this Pos Scam is heading onto Another New low $0.2 now...

I wish the company won't file the Bankruptcy before the end of 2021!

πŸ‘οΈ0

The Pos Scam created a New 52-week-low $0.228 yesterday like I said! We might see another New low $0.2 in the coming days due to very bad 10-Q report yesterday...

LOL, how could it bounce to $0.3 ~ $0.2828 from the New bottoms yesterday?

πŸ‘οΈ0
Value_Investor Value_Investor 2 years ago
No way! It goes the other way --- heading onto $0.26 or lower...

The Pos Scam crashed to $0.3001 with 25,055 shares of duming sales in the After-Hour session! Tomorrow it will further crash to test the Bottom $0.26 again...

I'm guessing potential riots over the 3-day weekend are what is driving this. But who knows anymore. Markets are off the charts frothy...there's so many stocks flying for no reason now.

Yes been watching this battle with interest.
What actually happened today was a 250,000 share block sell at 38 cents,
Which took out about 80,000 of the original bids ,
And the they bought the rest within an hour Or so, and replaced the
38ish cent bids and then took several more 25k blocks.
Your right though how many more do they have?
Should be interesting,
I did buy a few today,

gilead23 gilead23 3 years ago
Thought some of the buys were encouraging.

There was a 168k share block dumped out on the ask at .38 that actually got snapped up. Our big seller is still there but there was a meaningful buyer on the other side for once. I wish I had a better sense of how many shares our seller has. Also wonder if it’s Merlin partners. Can’t imagine anyone else who might have that many to sell.

I was basing my estimates last quarter on booking rates. Based on that my best guess is we will see lower Q4 revenues relative to Q3 probably 4 million and change.

I would like to be surprised but 4.1 million seems like a good SWAG. Some of that international order bleed into Q4 or full rollout at Flying J would help and I'm not including that in any assumptions. International is not a big piece of their puzzle so I don't expect a big impact there.
πŸ‘οΈ0
valuesalvage valuesalvage 3 years ago
Hey -
did you have a target for Q4?
You were pretty close to Q3 guess-
i wonder if that international order had gone through in Q3
what the total would have been?
Bass Pro, Matco, and Flying J could be
huge boosts here, I'm thinking one of them will hit good.
Thanks,

They mentioned palm stun guns at the end. I think that is the product they are rolling out in January. Definitely a very bullish tone. I do expect Q4 to be weaker than Q3, but should be way up over last year.

Yep I heard some exciting stuff this morning. The strong turnaround of the past 2 quarters appears to be in the early stages. I don't know who would sell the stock so cheap down here. Should be trading at $1-$2 imo

i also bought more today as we know the current quarter will produce strong results. Hopefully not, but if there is civil unrest after the election is officially called------that could be a tailwind for MACE.

It is not often at all (actually quite rare) that you find a $.40 stock with increasing revenues and earnings, and a clean balance sheet. They have a moat around their business and that is their recognizable brand. I own a bunch and will be adding as the current quarter should be strong also. Civil unrest going forward is a tailwind for this company.

Hey,
I did think about something that could possibly answer our
question of 'continued growth'.
What if these new products they talked about on the call
are inventive and get hot?
Gary seemed to be really pumped about the one new thing that should
be done this month. Something about a 'prototype' should be done this week?
that could be something to watch for.
just a thought,
thanks,

Listened to the call today, and have
thought about it for several hours now.

The main thing I can't get over is,
THIS DID NOT SOUND LIKE A 40 CENT STOCK!!! (and I have heard hundreds of conf calls that are a complete waste of my time).

Or a sub $1 stock for that matter.
This looks AND feels AND sounds like a freaking steal at this price.
I made a few purchases today.
They have so much brewing, and the question and answers really
provided a deeper look at what is cooking at this little company.

The grounded rationality of thought provides a good foundation
for what they are trying to do.
I'm looking forward to hearing what is next.

hope this helps a bit,

Thoughts on MACE CC? I didn't have a chance to listen in today.

Hey great reply thank you.
That is great analysis.
New management definitely feels laser focused,
with a definite vision that is already paying off.

Your right, if this thing can sustain growth is a total steal at this price.
I would guess that in 3q that they couldn't necessarily fill
100% of demand due to component shortages on certain items.
I am going to venture out and have to think 4th q could be even higher revs.

Going to be interesting-
I am going to buy a little monday before the call,
and call in and listen.

thanks again for the great update.

Agree its a value, but then again you would expect that from people posting here.

They have started a second shift and seem to be hiring for a third

They plan to grow by revamping the product offering, adding new products, penetrating new retail doors, creating personal protection sections in retail stores, enhancing their online efforts both around the website and amazon, and signing licensing deals.

They claim to have a significant new product they are launching in Q1. We haven't heard much about new doors. The digital transformations seem to be ongoing although I am seeing modest improvement in website traffic and not a lot of change in their amazon rankings for their categories.

I see it as both a story stock and value play. The story stock revolves around social unrest and heightened demand for personal protection products, and that could last awhile, but it hasn't caught the markets attention so far.

As a value/growth stock its a turnaround play. New management has consistently put up better numbers quarter after quarter. At the moment it not only looks cheap from the perspective of the brand name and NOL's which are both meaningful assets, but also as a growth stock experiencing a rapid ramp up in revenues. It's also a value stock based on its current earnings profile. I think the brand and NOL's are easily worth the market cap, but if this really is a growth story it's dirt dirt cheap. The growth piece I'm not 100% sold on. We will have to see if they can sustain and grow the revenue base from here.

Been watching this story for awhile.
Just been reading the numbers for the q.

Trying to figure out whats going on exactly-
So they have the best q in their history,
earning approx 1.5 cents a share,
and growing by an insane margin YOY, and also QOQ.
They have def started the second shift during the 3rd q,
so next q will have full q of what that shift can do.

This years revenues have already surpassed FY2019
by half mil, what does that put this years revenues at ?
16-17.5 million for the FY2020?
possible 5-7 cents in earnings,
on a completely turnaround of the company and products?

This thing seems like a 'gem'?
75 cents a share value seems to be an insane value.

There also seems to be several additional big upside angles to this story as well?

Thinking about starting to buy here, seems like its a super value here.
any thoughts board?
thanks

I'll admit that I did sell some to right size my bet. I was in a little heavy for the liquidity situation, hoping my expectations would get hit. Since they didn't, I right sized.

Yeah, it's relentless. I have a friend who use to say in these situations, there's an awful lot of them pretty face. Line from an old western.

I think the value of this company is well north of where it's trading. I think society is going to come more unglued in 2021. CEO is doing a good job with their brand. Considerable upside possible here.

Chicken and egg between supply of shares and people jumping on board with the story.
πŸ‘οΈ0
gilead23 gilead23 3 years ago
I agree same thought. Numbers were strong, but I hoped for more. Mostly their SG&A was crazy high relative to last quarter. They must be paying some impressively high sales commissions.

I'm a bit disgusted by the reaction. Barely treading water on a nearly 100% revenue increase and 500% earnings increase. Seems like Barone has a trillion shares to sell.
πŸ‘οΈ0
TheMonolith TheMonolith 3 years ago
I thought the quarter was solid, but didn't hit my expectations, which were high. Story is intact, don't see a reason to sell. However, what I hope to come may take another 3 months or more to see. We have that big seller, so that may dictate things more than anything on the equity side. Nice BOD addition, that should be good for the digital sales growth. Sounded like they think they are close to new retail contracts. Wanted to hear backlog and third shift information, guess we'll get those answers Monday.
