German Ifo business climate index declined more than expected in October
In Germany, the Ifo business climate index dropped to a level of 92.70 in October, compared to a revised reading of 93.20 in the prior month. Markets were expecting the index to fall to a level of 93.00.
German Ifo business expectations index weakened more than anticipated in October
In Germany, the Ifo business expectations index fell to a level of 95.00 in October, compared to a revised reading of 97.40 in the prior month. Markets were anticipating the index to drop to a level of 96.50.
German Ifo current assessment index advanced more than expected in October
In Germany, the Ifo current assessment index recorded a rise to a reading of 90.30 in October, compared to a level of 89.20 in the prior month. Market expectations were for the index to advance to a level of 89.80.
US new home sales unexpectedly declined in September
In the US, new home sales slid 3.50% on a MoM basis in September, compared to a revised rise of 3.00% in the prior month. Markets were expecting new home sales to record an advance of 2.80%.
US Dallas Fed manufacturing business index rose in October
In the US, the Dallas Fed manufacturing business index registered a rise to a level of 19.80 in October, compared to a reading of 13.60 in the previous month.
