UK Halifax house price index fell less than expected in March

The Halifax house price index in the UK dropped 1.60% on a MoM basis, in March, compared to an advance of 5.90% in the previous month. Markets were anticipating the index to drop 2.80%.

German industrial production rose more than expected in February

The seasonally adjusted industrial production in Germany rose 0.70% on a monthly basis, in February, compared to a revised unchanged reading in the previous month. Markets were anticipating industrial production to climb 0.50%.

US non-farm payrolls rose in March

In the US, non-farm payrolls rose by 196.00 K in March, more than market anticipations of an advance of 177.00 K. Non-farm payrolls had registered a revised increase of 33.00 K in the prior month.

US consumer credit rose less than expected in February

Consumer credit in the US rose $15.19 billion in February, compared to a revised rise of $17.72 billion in the prior month. Markets were anticipating consumer credit to climb $17.00 billion.

US unemployment rate remained unchanged in March

In the US, unemployment rate remained unchanged at a level of 3.80% in March, at par with market expectations.
