Advantages of Online Roulette at Online casinos

  • Easy to learn and play, suitable for beginners and experienced players.
  • Offers many betting options and strategies to experiment with.
  • Live roulette provides an authentic and interactive gaming experience with real croupiers (dealers).

Disadvantages of Online Roulette at Online Casinos

  • Of course, the house always has an advantage, and especially in American roulette, which has a higher house edge than European and French roulette.
  • Live roulette can be experienced somewhat slower than virtual roulette, as it requires interaction with the croupier and other players.

How to Play Roulette at Online Casinos?

Although playing roulette is one of the less complicated games at casinos, it is still natural to have questions if you have never played before.

Roulette is made up of a wheel, in most cases with 37 slots. The goal for the player is to guess in which pocket the small ball will land. If you guess correctly, you will be paid money.

You do not necessarily have to guess exactly where the small ball lands, although you have the opportunity to do so. The games are also divided into a number of other areas. For example, you can bet on all red numbers or all black numbers.

We divide the two categories to bet on in roulette for inside bets and outside bets. Let’s take a closer look at the two ways to play, or you can check more information about it in slotmonster review.

Inside Bets

The betting area in roulette is divided into different sections. Inside game is about playing within the numbers. There are also a large number of different inside games.

  • Straight up. We call it straight up when you bet on a single number in online roulette. For example, if you bet on 0, this will be a straight up bet. Winning bets pay 35x your stake, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
  • We call it a split if you divide your bet on two different numbers in roulette. For example if you bet on 11 and 14. You can place your chips on the line between the two numbers to show that you are betting on both. Winning bets pay 17x your stake, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
  • We call it a street, trio or three number bet when you spread your bet over three different numbers. It is essentially called a street if you place your bet on a whole row, for example 16, 17 and 18. To show that you are placing your bet on the street, you can place your chips on the outermost line of 16. Winning bets give a win of 11x your bet, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
  • We call it a corner, square or four number bet when you place a bet on four different numbers. It is called a corner or square when you place the bet on numbers in a square. For example, you bet on 2, 3, 5 and 6. Winning bets pay 8 times your bet, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70 on European reels.
  • Five number bet. We call it a five number bet or monster when you play on the first five numbers in American roulette. These are the numbers 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. Winning bets pay out 6 times your bet, which gives the house an edge of a whopping 7.89%. If you play any other five numbers in American roulette online, the house edge drops to 5.26%.
  • Six number bet. We call it a six number bet when you place your bet on six different numbers. It is usually called a six line bet if you play on two rows. For example, if you bet on 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and 36. To show that you are placing a six line bet, you can place your chip in this case on the outermost line between 31 and 34. Winning bets give a payout of five times your stake, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.

Outside Bets

Although inside bets in roulette are definitely popular, it is usually outside bets that are placed most often by the vast majority of players. This is also where we find the iconic games black and red.

  • Black or red. When you play on black or red you either play on all black numbers or all red numbers. Winning bets pay out equal to your bet, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
  • Even or odd. When you bet on even or odd numbers, you bet on either all even numbers or all odd numbers. 0 and possibly 00 are not included in the game. However, you will win if the ball lands on 4 and you have placed your bet on an even number. Winning bets pay out equal to your bet, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
  • High or low. When you play high or low, you play on either all high numbers (19 to 36) or all low numbers (1 to 18). Again, 0 and possibly 00 are not part of the game. Winning bets pay out equal to your bet, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
  • You bet on dozen if you place your bet on the first, second or third dozen. This means you bet on either numbers from 1 to 12, 13 to 24 or 25 to 36. Winning bets pay out twice your stake, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
  • When you play on columns, you place your bet on the bottom of the three columns. For example, 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31 and 34 are part of the first column. Winning bets pay twice your stake, while the house edge is 5.26% on American reels and 2.70% on European reels.
