that it has completed the acquisition of Desert View Regional
Medical Center, a twenty-five bed hospital in Pahrump, Nevada. This acquisition expands
UHS's acute care operations in Nevada, which includes six acute care
hospitals in Las Vegas and
Northern Nevada Medical Center in Sparks,
Nevada.

expand in our existing markets, and will complement the opening of
our newest hospital in Henderson,
Nevada later this year," said Alan

Desert View Hospital is an independent, 72,650 square foot
hospital providing vital care to the Pahrump community, located close to the
Nevada-California border. The hospital includes
two surgical suites, diagnostic imaging center, emergency room,
physical therapy, laboratory and other ancillary departments. The
hospital has also received numerous awards for patient satisfaction
including the Silver Syringe Award for community health
improvement.
