Dear Sir,

In accordance with articles 9 and 10,under Securities Market Law N°18,045, and as established under General Norm No. 30 of the Superintendence, duly authorized on behalf of Empresa Nacional de Electricidad S.A. (“Endesa Chile” or the “Company”), I hereby inform you of the following significant event:

Yesterday, the “Consejo de Administración de Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, Sistemas de Negociación, S.A” (Board of Directors of Spanish Stock Exchanges), in exercise of the powers conferred by “Reglamento del Mercado de Valores Latinoamericanos, Latibex" (Regulation of Latibex), and in response to the request made by Endesa Chile, it has agreed to suspend the inscription of Endesa Chile effective from December 1, 2015 and has decided to exclude the trading of shares issued by the Company in Latibex, effective on December 4, 2015.

The above implies that, from the aforementioned date, Endesa Chile will be delisted from Latibex and its shares will not be traded in the future on that stock exchange.
