Teleflex now provides a complete product offering across the continuum of care for vascular access with its ARROW® Vascular Access Products and EZ-IO® Devices

Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, will be showcasing ARROW® Vascular Products along with the newly acquired Vidacare vascular product line at the annual Society of Critical Care Medicine, January 9-13 in San Francisco, California. Vidacare produces the EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System which delivers vascular access directly through the bone. With the acquisition of Vidacare finalized December 2, 2013, Teleflex is further positioned to offer clinicians the right vascular access line for the right patient at the right time.

In addition to a full line of Vascular Access solutions, Teleflex is committed to supporting clinical education. Teleflex, under the Vidacare brand, will be sponsoring an Advanced Invasive Procedures Laboratory with cadavers. Clinicians will be learning the latest in invasive procedural skills translating these skills directly to patient care.

Teleflex has built its vascular portfolio on the philosophy of Vessel Health and Preservation® Protocol, striving to provide The Right Line for The Right Patient at The Right Time™. The ARROW® Brand offers a full portfolio of vascular access products, including CVCs, PICCs, Arterial Lines and the newly released JACC catheter to provide choices for their patients. The addition of the EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System adds another option for clinicians to consider in emergent or difficult vascular access situations. Furthermore, only Teleflex offers exclusive vascular access technologies such as Chlorag+ard® Technology (Antimicrobial / Antithrombogenic Catheter Protection) and VPS® Technology (Doppler and ECG Catheter Tip Location).

“We are thrilled to have the Vidacare vascular products joining the ARROW® Vascular Access family,” states Jay White, President Vascular Access Division. “We believe in offering life-saving devices like the EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System to help clinicians achieve best outcomes for their patients. The ARROW® Brand has been bringing innovative solutions to market during its 35 year history, and we look forward to continuing this tradition at this year’s SCCM meeting.”
