In her role, Dr. Nelson will work with associate medical directors, department chairs, physicians and senior managers to guide patient care and policy direction. She will provide the strategic support needed to ensure a quality of care that meets and exceeds patient expectations.

Prior to joining Prevea Health, Dr. Nelson spent 21 years with Marshfield Clinic where she served in a variety of roles, most recently as Marshfield's Chief Medical Officer. She began her career in a clinical setting and has since spent 17 years in health care leadership throughout central and northern Wisconsin.
