LONDON--BG Group PLC (BG.LN) said Friday it has been notified by one of the unions that it plans to take industrial action at the QCLNG plant on Curtis Island, Queensland, Australia on Aug. 7.

The natural gas firm said it isn't aware of the scope or duration of the proposed industrial action from this particular union body and at this time there remains no change to the expected first LNG date from the project in the final quarter of 2014.

The action is being taken by the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union, one of the four unions representing workers at the plant.

Shares at 0710 up 5 pence, or 0.47%, at 1178 pence valuing the company at 40.16 billion pounds ($68.12 billion).
