LONDON--Advertising firm WPP PLC (WPP.LN), said Tuesday that
Kantar Media, its media research and analytics business, has
acquired a majority stake in the issued share capital of Precise
Media Group Holdings Ltd., for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1996 and based in London, with offices in New York,
the provider of monitoring and evaluation services Precise Media,
employs 430 people servicing 2,500 customers including
multinational corporations, PR agencies, public sector bodies and
SME clients.
For the year ending Sept. 30, 2013, Precise's revenue were 28.9
million pounds, with gross assets as at the same date of GBP34.4
million.
WPP PLC shares at 0820 GMT traded up 0.04 pence, or 0.3%, at
GBP13.05, valuing the company at GBP17.29 billion.
